The Eee Box — It’s the IKEA of Desktops

What the Mac Mini was for Apple fans the Eee Box is for Linux users — a stylish, bare bones desktop with a small footprint and an even smaller price tag. The Eee PC will feel right at home in a college dorm, on the kitchen counter, or on the desk of users who want to run both Windows and Linux without dual-booting. With a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, 2 GBs of RAM, 4 USB ports, 802.11n and Bluetooth, the casual user should have no problem justifying its $300 price tag. Those of us who use a lot of media, however, will want to hold out for a model with an optical drive.
